A powerful legacy. An important moment.
Few colleges carry a name with more history in it. Gettysburg’s hometown is the site of one of the Civil War’s most consequential battles and one of America’s most revered speeches.
As the college prepared to take its most ambitious campaign public in 2026, amid fraught national debates over heritage, it needed an identity that would honor that legacy without getting lost in it, and rally its community toward what comes next.

“We, Here, Now.”
Conversations with leadership, faculty, and alumni surfaced one theme above all: community, spoken of with unusual force. We paired that insight with the speech the town is known for, in which Lincoln honored the past and called the living to the work ahead.
The result quietly echoes that call. We, the Gettysburg community. Here, in this historic place. Now, for today’s students and those to come.
From there, we developed the campaign name and a messaging platform that defines its story and voice. We led the content strategy and copy for the case statement and microsite, and trained Gettysburg’s team to carry the message forward. Our partners at E&A Collaborative brought it all to life visually, creating the campaign’s visual brand, including its logo, and designing the case statement.
Every piece, in words and design alike, works from the same idea: turning heritage into a reason to act, and giving every donor a role in the college's next chapter.
