As Muhlenberg prepared to celebrate its 175th anniversary, it sought an experienced interim leader who could bolster its communications function to meet rising enrollment challenges.
As Interim Vice President for Communications & Marketing, Melanie Moran led Muhlenberg through a critical transition, shaping a new messaging framework focused on enrollment outcomes. She also enhanced presidential and crisis communications, including so that the College could meet future crises with confidence and reduce reputational risk for enrollment or any other priority.

Grounded in market research and shaped by extensive collaboration, the new messaging framework distilled the Muhlenberg difference into four authentic themes that resonated with prospective students and reinforced community pride.
That clarity carried through to a redesigned website, with new messaging, photography, and interactive storytelling to guide prospective students on a deliberate journey of discovery. The refreshed site elevated Muhlenberg’s digital presence, strengthened its market position, and laid the foundation for continued enrollment success.
