Highlights from 2023

We are looking forward to another great year of working with our dedicated clients and colleagues across the country. But before the hustle and bustle of the new year begins, here’s a quick list of highlights from 2023, in which we…

  • Began our eighth year serving outstanding educational institutions nationwide.

  • Welcomed Kim Verstandig as our Vice President for Fundraising and Senior Strategist. 

  • Hosted the 5th edition of The Future Sessions leadership bootcamp—and sold out the 6th edition, taking place in January in Nashville, Tennessee.

Our 5th Future Sessions cohort of communications professionals from Brandeis University, ERI Design, Hamilton College, The Johns Hopkins University, Lafayette College, Muhlenberg College, and St. Lawrence University

  • Further expanded our free and fully searchable Op-Ed Database, which now encompasses +1,200 op-eds by higher ed leaders in national media. (And continued publishing a related newsletter with a curated selection of topical op-eds each month.)

  • Celebrated the launch of How to Change the Future, a new book on lessons in strategic change from Ireland's economic resurgence, co-authored by Pete Mackey and William Harris.

And, in partnership with some of our incredible clients, we…

  • Served in interim leadership roles in communications and marketing and in advancement at Lafayette College, and as interim director of marketing at Tulane University.

  • Oversaw the redesign of Lafayette’s new alumni magazine in partnership with design firm Studio Wyse and editorial strategist Emily Boutillier.

  • Created new admissions messaging and led a website redesign for Muhlenberg College in partnership with ERI Design. 
     

  • Partnered with Boston University and the University of the South on the announcements of their new President and Vice-Chancellor, respectively. 

  • Developed recommendations to strengthen communications and marketing at the Tulane Freeman School of Business and supported a related leadership search.
     

  • Launched or continued partnerships with more than a dozen institutions, and enjoyed visits to some of their beautiful campuses…
